Founded and run by Dan Felstead, The Room Ltd is a Salford-based accommodation provider specialising in practical, high-quality housing for construction teams, tradespeople, and project professionals working across Greater Manchester and the North West.
With over 30 years in the construction industry, Dan spent many of those years living in contractor accommodation himself — from short-term digs on remote sites to longer rotations in busy urban projects Across Europe and Australia. He knows exactly what works and what doesn’t: reliable WiFi that doesn’t drop during video calls, strong parking for vans and tools, clean and functional kitchens for quick meals after long shifts, comfortable beds for proper rest, and locations close enough to sites to cut commute time and fatigue.
That real-world experience drives everything we do. Our fully furnished houses are clustered within a single square mile in the heart of Salford (M5/M6 postcode area), putting your teams minutes from major transport links, shops, and key construction schemes — including ongoing regenerations like Salford Central, New Bailey, and major infrastructure projects across Greater Manchester.
We’re uniquely positioned to accommodate large teams or groups of up to 48 guests across multiple houses, offering full-house privacy and team cohesion without the scattered feel of hotels or distant bookings. We can also provide transportation to and from site if required, making us a truly one-stop solution for accommodation needs of all sizes — from small crews to full project teams.
We’ve moved fully into full-house lets for groups of 4–9 (scalable across properties), with everything contractors need: strong WiFi, parking, self-catering, clean linen/towels, and hassle-free long stays. We’re not a big corporate chain; we’re local, hands-on, and built on the understanding that good accommodation isn’t a luxury — it’s essential for keeping skilled workers productive, safe, and happy on the job.
